NORTH SEA · AMSTERDAM ↔ LONDON

LIVE · WORK · BUILD

A city at sea. Housing, energy and industry built as one system.

INTRODUCTION

Europe needs more space for housing, clean energy and strategic industry. Europes Gate brings them together in one phased North Sea corridor.

A practical framework built from established offshore, bridge, port, energy and urban technologies. Every phase must prove its value before construction.

Housing

Create homes without consuming more open land.

Industry

Make room for clean energy, industry and European jobs.

Resilience

Secure Europe’s energy, data and critical materials.

Homes, electric mobility, clean industry and offshore wind on Europe’s Gate

One vision. Delivered in phases.

Europe’s Gate is designed as a sequence of independently assessed stages, keeping cost, engineering and environmental impact measurable at every step.

ROUTE

360 km from Amsterdam to London, plus a proposed 75 km Rotterdam branch; 435 km in total.

WHY IT CAN WORK

Proven technologies. A new system.

Europe’s Gate does not depend on a single breakthrough. It integrates established capabilities from offshore energy, bridge and tunnel engineering, ports, green steel, urban development and secure digital infrastructure.

New scale. Clear scope.

The 360 km route is unprecedented. The €4.673tn system estimate and €150–200bn early bridge estimate both require independent validation.

Green steel is scaling.

HYBRIT and Stegra show lower-emission steel moving into production. Europe must now scale supply and manufacturing capacity.

Hydrogen must scale.

The concept assumes 60–90 GW over time. Each stage must align hydrogen capacity with European supply, grids and proven demand.

Climate impact must be proven.

The target is 178 Mt less CO₂ a year. Independent assessment must verify construction, operation and supply-chain emissions.
